A seven-year-old karter from Nottingham has celebrated a class win at an E-Plate race weekend during his first year of karting.
Cruz Rodgers finished first in the MightE class final at the FSS E-Plate and Round Six meeting on 16 August, according to the official Alpha Race Hub results.
Racing kart number 24, he completed 13 laps in 13 minutes 36.04 seconds, finishing 6.16 seconds ahead of the next driver. His fastest lap in the final was one minute 1.98 seconds.
First year on the track
His mother, Jazmin Stones, said Cruz started karting this year and is following his father Adam Rodgers into the sport.
She contacted Local Gazette to share his progress and supplied photographs of Cruz with his kart and trophy. She also confirmed the family's Nottingham connection.
The published UK Kart Series MightE Bambino 2026 standings place Cruz fourth with 719 championship points. That is his current position, not a confirmed final placing for the season.
Looking ahead
His family says the plan for 2027 is to continue in the UK Kart Series and take on the Super One Series, giving him further opportunities to develop his racing experience.
